Founded in 1831, Xavier University is a Jesuit, Catholic university in Cincinnati, Ohio. Xavier is recognized as one of the top 10 universities in the Midwest for the last 15 years by U.S. News & World Report, including a rank of third for 2010. Xavier's quarterly alumni magazine highlights the accomplishments of its graduates.
PROJECT
Xavier Magazine contacted us to take some photos for a feature article on Paul Fellinger, an alumnus of Xavier and a dedicated soldier. Since 2004, Fellinger spent nearly three and a half years on assignment in the Middle East. While in Afghanistan, he assisted in establishing local military and police forces. He also assisted the Department of State to develop rural and war-torn areas, which included involvement in the construction of schools and roads. For the shoot, we met Paul at the The U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center and captured him in his uniform
and in his element. We had so much respect for Paul and all he's done to defend our country, and we wanted our photos to reflect out admiration.
